My name is Katherine I am currently undertaking an art foundation course in the UK and will soon be studying Theatre production this year. Which I hope will allow me to do set design in the future! So all of the art here is mostly what I do within my recreational time.
The majority of my work is inspired by history and fantasy, although I'm not entirely sure which field I am most comfortable in, ah well guess I shall find out soon enough! Anyway enjoy browsing.
So maybe your still in school or perhaps thinking about changing career. I often thought before doing a foundation year, is there any point?
Will this be beneficial...?
My conclusion from the experience is yes in the most part it is, I feel that It provides you with the opportunity to develop as an artist and discover practices you otherwise might not have tried. Such as collage or painting, I had previously stuck to my favorite medium pencil and barely ever explored outside it. Having done an Art Foundation Course I feel more prepared when approaching a project to think about what is the right medium for the project and how it best commun
Just wondering what you would all like to see more of, and maybe thinking of embarking on taking on a commission or two if anyone has one, any way would love to hear from you all if you have any suggestions please tell me! :)
Afternoon everyone! Just started a new group for artists in the south west of England, hoping to make this a general sharing platform and hopefully an area to make some new friends and contacts. Anyway feel free to join. I have put the link below.

I love the variety of your work. Thanks for including me in your watch. Keep learning. Theatre is a profession is a lot like an old Army recruiting slogan from when I was young(er). It's the toughest job you'll ever love. I did scenery (and Lighting) for years, the gave directing and playwriting a try. Now I'm transitioning to costuming which is actually where I feel most at home. Not that I don't still frequently stretch back into the other disciplines. I think one of the things I'm finding rewarding about the costuming is I actually get to know the performers better. For about a month or two I become like an uncle or older brother. Anyway, I wish you every success!
